Team Elev8 7539
Naman is the construction lead of Team Elev8. He has a strong background with engineering and design, being an Autodesk Certified User in Fusion 360 and an Autodesk Certified Associate for CAD in Mechanical Design. He has worked on multiple challenges and projects involving mechanical design, such as the design of a full-face mask and a face shield, designing various robots, and the design of a concept car. He is also very passionate about spreading this knowledge, having taught CAD to hundreds of students and mentors from various schools and NGOs over the past 9 months, participating in international events, such as the Caravan of Knowledge and the Hackaday Remoticon to teach design and analysis, and hopes to be able to teach many more.
About the Presentation
"This presentation covers the essential knowledge required to perform simulations, regardless of software. The session goes over the basic structural analysis required for any FRC robot, and the initial hour will be dedicated to explaining the engineering concepts that often come up when doing analysis. The understanding of these concepts will then be moved over to software, so see how these theoretical concepts can be turned into a concrete analysis of specific parts from an example FRC robot.
Although there are no software requirements, it is recommended to follow along with some of the basic examples in any simulation software (eg. Fusion 360, Solidworks, Ansys, etc). The course has no prerequisites but some experience with structures (robot or otherwise) is recommended"
