About the Presentation

FRC 2468 students will be sharing "Adaptability as The New Benchmark for Leadership: How a high school robotics team pivoted to virtual formats to continue to develop female leaders". Learn about how FRC 2468’s STEMGirls initiative has served to increase female participation in robotics and introduce young girls to potential careers in STEM. Through methods including virtual workshops, socials and networking events, they have been able to achieve a 1:1 gender ratio in leadership positions across their team for the past 2 years. Then they will continue to explain how they have pivoted many of the STEMGirls events to adapt to the pandemic as well as how they created sustainable adaptations to their many other outreach initiatives.
